According to latest statistics, the population of people aged 100 and above in the UK has increased twofold from 8,300 in 2004 to 16,600 in 2024.
From 2004 and 2024, the total of men aged 100 or over has increased threefold from 910 to 3,100. Over the same period, the count of female individuals reaching 100 nearly doubled from 7,400 to 13,600.
We are eager to hear from centenarians, their family or friends, about what it has been like to live through the past century’s major happenings and shifts.
